State 4-H Project Exhibits

We are so proud of the Wayne County 4-H members who qualified for the State 4-H Exhibition. We had over 100 4-H projects qualify! Congratulations on your hard work and creativity. Result of 2020 State 4-H Poster Contest

Wayne County had over 60 county entries in this year's State 4-H Poster Contest. Thirteen entries went on to the state contest and the results are in. Below is the 4-H member's name, along with the type of poster they completed and the results of the state competition. Visit the Wayne County 4-H posters for a look at each poster.

4-H Camp Reunion Held in July

Our 4-H Camp reunion was held on July 28 at 1 p.m. Nearly 20 youth joined us for educational and fun activities. Mark your calendars as we hold one more 4-H Camp reunion on August 24 at 1 p.m. More details will be forthcoming. If you have questions, please call our office at 304-272-6839.

2020 Virtual 4-H Projects

This month we are recognizing our 4-H Project exhibits, since these will not be on display at Camden Park as part of the Wayne County Fair. We had 325 projects completed with over 100 blue ribbon winners. Congratulations to all our 4-H members on a job well done!

2020 4-H Livestock Exhibitors

Congratulations to our 4-H Livestock Exhibitors who showed their market rabbits in the Extension office parking on Tuesday, August 4 at 5 p.m. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication under these conditions.

4-H Fourward Fund - Tractor Supply in Lavalette

Wayne County has a Tractor Supply located in Lavalette. Help Wayne County 4-H'ers by participating in the Tractor Supply Company online fundraising campaign! From July 15-26, 2020, customers can donate online or at check out. This works for both online (shipped) purchases and curbside pickup. The funds for this will be distributed to local 4-H programs via the Fourward Fund. If you have questions, contact our office at 304-272-6839.

4-H Camp Reunion

Do you miss your friends from Virtual 4-H Camp last month? We sure do, so we're having a 4-H Camp Reunion next Tuesday, July 28, at 11 a.m. Parents who registered for Wayne County 4-H Virtual Camp should check their email from details. Wayne County Virtual State 4-H Results

Please help us congratulate our Wayne County 4-H members who completed in the annual County  4-H Round Up in April. These individuals qualified at the county level and in turn competed in the Virtual State 4-H Contest in June. Josie Parsley received a red ribbon for her visual presentation. Simon Ballengee and Zacharia Ballengee both received a red ribbon for their speech and Malaki Ballengee received a white ribbon for his speech. Virtual State 4-H Contest

FREE Garden & Health Activities at Extension Office

The Wayne County Family Nutrition Program and 4-H Program are partnering this summer to offer FREE health and garden activities for families to stop by our office and pick up. The activities include microgreens and healthy living activities for youth and adults. The activities will be available just outside our office weekdays (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., while supplies last! 4-H Camp Prize Winners Announced

4-H Camp-at-home wrapped up last month. Enrolled youth had the opportunity to complete a variety of challenges to win prizes. The deadline for completion of the challenges was Monday July 6, 2020.
