Wayne County has a Tractor Supply located in Lavalette. Help Wayne County 4-H'ers by participating in the Tractor Supply Company online fundraising campaign! From July 15-26, 2020, customers can donate online or at check out. This works for both online (shipped) purchases and curbside pickup. 4-H Camp Reunion
Do you miss your friends from Virtual 4-H Camp last month? We sure do, so we're having a 4-H Camp Reunion next Tuesday, July 28, at 11 a.m. Parents who registered for Wayne County 4-H Virtual Camp should check their email from details. Wayne County Virtual State 4-H Results
Please help us congratulate our Wayne County 4-H members who completed in the annual County 4-H Round Up in April. These individuals qualified at the county level and in turn competed in the Virtual State 4-H Contest in June. Josie Parsley received a red ribbon for her visual presentation. Simon Ballengee and Zacharia Ballengee both received a red ribbon for their speech and Malaki Ballengee received a white ribbon for his speech. FREE Garden & Health Activities at Extension Office
The Wayne County Family Nutrition Program and 4-H Program are partnering this summer to offer FREE health and garden activities for families to stop by our office and pick up. The activities include microgreens and healthy living activities for youth and adults. The activities will be available just outside our office weekdays (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., while supplies last! 4-H Camp-at-home wrapped up last month. Enrolled youth had the opportunity to complete a variety of challenges to win prizes. The deadline for completion of the challenges was Monday July 6, 2020. College Scholarships Awarded
The Wayne County 4-H Leaders started a new scholarship program last fall to support post-secondary efforts of two Wayne County 4-H members. The 2020 recipients of this award include Ashlee Smith and Chase Smith of Prichard who have been extremely active in the Wayne County 4-H program.
Both Ashlee and Chase will receive a $300 scholarship to support their post-secondary efforts, where Ashlee is a Junior at Marshall University and Chase will be a freshman at Marshall University this fall.
