Highlights from the 2022 Regional Air Rifle Qualifier

Highlights from the Regional Air Rifle Qualifier held in Wayne County on January 8, 2022. Many thanks to our competitors on a job well done and our coaches for their commitment to weekly practices since October! Below is a list of Wayne County 4-H youth competitors with their scores. Their placing state-wide will be available later this month after the final regional qualifier held on January 29 in Weston, WV.

International Travel 4-H Club to Study Israel

The International Travel 4-H Club is holding their next monthly meeting on Thursday, February 10, at 5 p.m., at the Extension Office in Wayne. Club members will be learning about the beautiful country of Israel. Members are encouraged to make a dish to share with other club members from the country. Youth will also spend time working on activities in the 4-H Around the World project book. New members welcome!

Energy Express is Hiring for Summer 2022

Wayne County is seeking to hire Mentors and Community Coordinators for our three Energy Express sites this summer. Successful applicants will earn a living allowance of $2,350 plus $1,374.60 education award. Interviews will begin next month so apply early.

Community Coordinators and mentors either recruit, train or supervise volunteers to assist Energy Express children during reading, writing, art, drama and non-competitive recreational activities. For more information, call 304-272-6839 or email Julie Tritz
