The primary goal of careers within the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Cluster is to efficiently plan, manage, and move people, materials, and goods from one location to another (via road, air, rail, and water), ensuring timely delivery at the lowest possible cost while prioritizing safety and compliance with regulations.

In addition to job specific skills in the chosen discipline, those working in a transportation, distribution and logistics career should possess the following skills:  technical proficiency, problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, the ability to work with machines or automated systems, communication (written and verbal), teamwork, adaptability and ability to work in a stressful environment.
