4-H'ers Compete in State Writing Contest

This spring Iggy Ballengee (far left) and Simon Ballengee wrote a short story and essay respectively and entered in the State 4-H Writing Contest. Their entries won first place and earned them the opportunity to represent Wayne County in this state contest.

  • Iggy Ballengee won a Blue Ribbon in the Short Story category for a story titled "Dr. Zizzlezaff's Bomb."

  • Simon Ballengee won a Blue Ribbon on an Essay he wrote titled "Brushing Teeth."
