Highlights from the 4-H Livestock Show

Many thanks to Evan Wilson, Wayne-Cabell Ag Extension Agent and our 4-H parents for a successful 4-H Livestock Show on August 5, 2021. The Livestock Show and Sale occurred during the Wayne County Fair and it was one for the record books. Four roaster rabbits were shown and sold.

Reserve Champion- Duke Parsley $1500 BUYER: Blacktop Industries
3rd- Elijah Parsley $1000 BUYER: Blacktop Industries 
4th- Josie Parsley $1000 BUYER: West Virginia Paving

These are record shattering prices for the Wayne County Fair. Please support these companies and give them thanks when you see them. We hope this will be a start of a bright future for the Wayne County 4-H livestock program.

  • Senior Showmanship:1st: Duke Parsley $175
  • Junior Showmanship:1st: Joel Patton $175
  • 2nd: Elijah Parsley $100
  • 3rd: Josie Parsley $50

Bowling’s Feed and Suppy of Catlettsburg, Ky sponsored the Showmanship awards. This year's 4-H Livestock Show was held in loving memory of Chip Followay and Mike Steward who faithfully supported the show for many years.
