4-H Summer Fun Days

Registration is open for Wayne County 4-H Summer Fun Days for our enrolled 4-H member. Please select the camp your child would like to attend and click on the link below to register. Each opportunity listed below can only take 20 youth maximum. All standard COVID-19 precautions will be apart of the 4-H Summer Fun Day programs (face masks, social distancing and hand-washing).  

Opportunities for Youth Aged 6-8 years

  • June 23 at Cabwaylingo State Forest  (4279 Cabwaylingo Park Rd, Dunlow, WV 25511). Register at: https://4h.zsuite.org/event-registrations/6439
  • Age Requirement: The 4-H Year is October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021. If your child turns 6 years old during this time frame, they may register for this opportunity. If they turn 8 years old during time frame, this will be their last year to participate with this target audience.  Cost: $10 includes program, t-shirt, and snacks/lunch.  
  • Cost: $10 includes program, t-shirt, and snacks/lunch.

Opportunities for Youth Aged 9 - 12 years

  • Age Requirement: The 4-H Year is October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021. If your child turns 9 years old during this time frame, they are welcome to register for this opportunity. If they turn 12 years old during time frame, this will be their last year to participate with this target audience. 
  • Cost: $15 includes program, t-shirt, and snacks/lunch.

Opportunities for Youth Aged 13 - 21 years

  • Age Requirement: The 4-H Year is October 1, 2020 - September 30, 2021. If your child turns 13 years old during this time frame, they are welcome to register for this opportunity. Youth may attend 4-H Older Camp, up to 21 years of age (as long as they are 21 years old for the duration of this opportunity). 18–21-year olds must complete additional paperwork and training as required by the State 4-H Office.  
  • Cost: $15 includes program, t-shirt, and snacks/lunch.

All standard COVID-19 requirements will be in place (face masks, social distancing, and handwashing) for these events. A few other details to keep in mind as you prepare to register for these programs:

  • Hours: every program will involve a drop off at 9 a.m. and pick up at 3 p.m.  
  • Registration: the program for each age cohort listed below will be the same. We encourage parents/ guardians to sign up for the location that is best for their family. Then, if space allows at the other location and if you/ your child is interested in doing the same program twice, you can register for the other location. 
  • Snacks & Lunch: pre-packaged snacks and a lunch meal will be provided.  
  • Theme: the theme this year is 4-H Summer Fun. We are planning engaging activities indoor and outdoor that will feature healthy living, science and citizenship content.  
  • Safety: our staff will include a combination of Extension employees, 4-H volunteers, and a Health Care provider. We will disinfect in between activities throughout the day and conduct a deep cleaning daily after each group leaves at 3 p.m. Groups will be limited 20 youth and six staff.
