In-Person 4-H Camps Canceled for June 2020

4-H Clover

IMPORTANT UPDATE for 4-H FAMILIES

The WVU Extension Service has worked closely with state leaders, health officials and WVU leaders to ensure the safety of our programs for participants in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this, they have made the very difficult decision to cancel all WVU-sponsored county 4-H camps, events, and other activities scheduled for June.

We know these camps are part of the very fabric of our communities, and we are working together to find solutions to provide alternative programming and engagement opportunities for our youth. We know this will be a great disappointment for many, but the safety of our 4-H families is the top priority of West Virginia University and our county offices. We will continue to move forward with summer plans from July on, but we will be monitoring the situation to determine those plans. We are anticipating a decision regarding July camps will be made in late April. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
