This summer the Wayne County 4-H Program will office educational tours every Tuesday in July. These tours are designed to keep our youth engaged in the 4-H program during the summer months and to learn more about our county and area. The tours will include:
- July 3 - Marshall University -Tour of campus including rec-center and dorm room. Located in Huntington.
- July 10 - Allevard Sogefi - Sogefi Group is a leading global supplier of original parts for the automotive industry with over 35 years’ experience. Sogefi designs, develops and produces filtration systems and flexible suspension components as well as air management and engine cooling systems. Located in Prichard.
- July 17 - Rustic Ravines - Nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains sits Rustic Ravines where true outdoor adventure awaits. Perched on 300 acres of breathtaking wooded paradise, our cozy cabins offer the perfect mountain getaway. Located in Genoa.
- July 24 - Hermitage of the Holy Cross Monastery - Walking tour of The Hermitage of the Holy Cross, a traditional, English-speaking men's monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. Dress code for men/boys - pants, long-sleeved shirts "business casual". Dress code for ladies/girls - skirts, long-sleeved shirts, head covering (can be a nice hat, bandana, or scarf.) Gift shop has handmade soaps, incense, candles and other items. Located in Wayne.
All tours are FREE and will start at 2:30 p.m.
