Wayne County 4-H youth are encouraged to check out a new camp! The Davis College and USGS will host a Geosciences Summer Camp at WVU this summer (June 17-21). This is a pilot program for a longer, 2-week camp that will be hosted beginning in 2019.
Organizers are seeking 24 high-school students to participate in this camp. The first 12 students to sign up will receive a reduced cost. Applicants must be high school students (as of fall 2018) or graduating high school seniors.
The camp will be held at the Coopers Rock Research Forest, and Adventure WV will manage all logistics and care for students. USGS instructors from around the country will be matched with WVU faculty/grad students to provide high-quality instruction and lots of fun.
