The Wayne County CEOS Program has three club meeting in September, reconvening after the summer.

The CEOS Quilt and Fiber Club meet twice a month. New members are always welcome. Their next meeting is June 11 - for location details, please call the Wayne County Extension office at 304-272-6839. Below are a few items featured at their May 2019 meeting.

Are you interested in getting involved in your community? The West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service (WVCEOS) may be just what you’re looking for. 

The Wayne County CEOS program hosted the 2019 Charleston Area CEOS Meeting on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The meeting was held at the Wayne Methodist Church, 615 Cleveland St, Wayne, WV 25570.

The CEOS Quilt & Fiber Club made 23 dish clothes for a person going on a mission's trip to Guatemala later this spring. The members made various colored dish clothes. The club is always seeking new members. To learn more, please call the Wayne County office at 304-272-6839.

The CEOS Garden Club had Loretta Wright (far right) speak on growing orchids on April 9, 2019. Other CEOS members present include (l-r): Patricia Harris, Sarah Marcum, and Nancy Fry. The West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service, in cooperation with the WVU Extension Service, seeks to increase knowledge and understanding about our world, to encourage youths to learn life skills and become leaders, and to promote study in the family and consumer sciences and helping professions. The CEOS Quilt & Fiber Club held their bi-monthly meeting at the Extension Office on Tuesday March 12, 2019. A member showcased her cross-stitch work featured below. Members were also working on tea bag wallets in preparation for the Charleston Area meeting that Wayne County will host on April 27 in Wayne. The club is always seeking new members. The Wayne County CEOS program will host the 2019 Charleston Area CEOS Meeting on Saturday April 27 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Wayne Methodist Church, 615 Cleveland St, Wayne, WV 25570.

The program will feature Evan Wilson, Wayne-Cabell Ag Agent who will speak on house plants and Misty Martin, Director of Marie's House, a recovery center for women based in Wayne. The menu will feature baked steak, chicken casserole, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, pecan pie, Italian cream cake, turtle cheesecake, along with drinks.
