CEOS Members Encouraged to Vote on May 8

Since the 1950s, Wayne County voters have continuously supported the excess levy, which is renewed every five years. This levy does not raise taxes , but simply continues the rate that has been in place. This levy supports several organizations in the county, including the WVU Wayne County Extension Office. Early voting starts April 25 and runs through May 5, 2018. Voting day is May 8, 2018.

Wayne County CEOS Members Attend Spring Meeting

Two Wayne County CEOS members attended the Charleston Area Spring Meeting hosted by Lincoln County, along with over 50 CEOS members from the Charleston area attended to hear Sheldon Owen, WVU Extension Wildlife Specialist, speak on the conservation efforts for the monarch butterflies in West Virginia.

CEOS Helps with 4-H Project Day

Two CEOS members - Trish Harris and Donna Ferrell helped with the annual 4-H Project Day, where the focus was on sewing. Seven youth completed a 4-H Project on sewing on Thursday April 5, 2018. The youth did several hands-on activities including pillow cases for a travel size pillow. These projects will be on display at the 2018 Wayne County Fair.
