Jennifer Ferrell

Jennifer Ferrell currently serves as the Director of the Community Advancement and Development (CAD) for the West Virginia Division of Economic Development (WVDED).

The CAD division oversees state and federal grant programs aimed at enhancing the well-being of West Virginia residents. These programs help individuals access housing, support job creation and retention, build essential infrastructure, alleviate poverty, rejuvenate low-income communities, prevent homelessness, lower energy expenses for low-income households, and implement various community and economic development projects.

Before joining WVDED, Jennifer worked in the Governor’s Office. Serving under four Governors, she helped formulate, promote, and achieve initiatives for the administrations. As a member of the senior management team, she was responsible for all constituent related functions, facilitating communication between citizens seeking assistance and various state agencies.

Jennifer currently resides in Charleston. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
