Tractor 4-H Project Area

The 4-H tractor program provides you with educational information about agricultural tractors and machinery. You’ll develop project skills (principles of engine operation, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, safe operation) and life skills (decision-making, using science and technology, developing communication skills).

  • Year 1: Starting Up - Tractor A Score Sheet
    • Complete nine Starting Up – Tractor A project activities. If you elect to do additional activities, please check the nine activities you want to be graded on. Record in your project book or notebook the what, when, where, and how you accomplished each selected activity. Include your notebook with your project book for grading.
  • Year 2: Tractor Operations - Tractor B Score Sheet
    • Complete nine (9) Tractor Operation – Tractor B project activities. If you elect to do additional activities, please check (√) the nine (9) activities you want to be graded on. Record in your project book or notebook the what, when, where, and how you accomplished each selected activity. Include your notebook with your project book for grading. 
  • Year 3: Moving Out - Tractor C Score Sheet
    • Complete nine (9) Moving Out – Tractor C project activities. If you elect to do additional activities, please check (√) the nine (9) activities you want to be graded on. Record in your project book or notebook the what, when, where, and how you accomplished each selected activity. Include your notebook with your project book for grading.
  • Year 4: Learning More - Tractor D Score Sheet
    • Complete five (5) Learning More – Tractor D project activities. If you elect to do additional activities, please check (√) the five (5) activities you want to be graded on. Record in your project book or notebook the what, when, where, and how you accomplished each selected activity. Include your notebook with your project book for grading.
  • Instructions: It is recommended that you be at least 14 years old and have taken the National 4-H Curriculum Small Engines series before enrolling in the Agricultural Tractor series.

Exhibit Ideas

  • Year 1: Starting Up Tractor A 
    • A poster or display on an activity completed during your Starting Up – Tractor A project, your project book, and notebook. 
  • Year 2: Tractor Operations Tractor B 
    • A poster or display on an activity completed during your Tractor Operation – Tractor B project, your project book, and notebook.
  • Year 3: Moving Out Tractor C 
    • A poster or display on an activity completed during your Moving Out – Tractor C project, your project book, and notebook.
  • Year 4: Learning More Tractor D 
    • A poster or display on an activity completed during your Learning More – Tractor D project, your project book, and notebook.

How Do I Sign Up?

The first step is to create an enrollment in our ZSuite website.

Enroll in 4-H ZSuite

When you get to the CLUBS tab of the enrollment, you will want to ADD PROJECT.

For Bicycling, you should search for:
    • TRACTOR/YEAR 1 (LEVEL A - STARTING UP)
    • TRACTOR/YEAR 2 (LEVEL B - TRACTOR OPERATIONS)
    • TRACTOR/YEAR 3 (LEVEL C - MOVING OUT)
    • TRACTOR/YEAR 4 (LEVEL D - LEARNING MORE)

These are all questions that physicists explore.WVU offers 2 undergraduate degree programs in Physics: the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Science (BS). Both programs are designed for students interested in STEM careers, while also providing excellent preparation for non-STEM fields.

    Apprenticeship Pathway Degree Program

    WVU Potomac State

    As you progress through your apprenticeship training program, you will simultaneously earn an associate degree. You will enhance the skills required for positions in today’s ever-changing construction workforce.

    Upon completion of the Carpenters’ registered apprenticeship program, you will also hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Technical Studies with a major in carpentry technology from WVU Potomac State College.
