Mental Health 4-H Project Area

Your Thoughts Matter Project Manual Cover from Shop4H

What does mental health really mean? How many people are affected by mental health issues such as anxiety and depression? Be part of the solution by learning the answers to those questions and more. Intended for advanced-level youth who are interested in learning more about mental health, why it is important to overall well-being, and steps that promote understanding and action.


This project is not intended as a resource for those in crisis.  If you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health issue, please seek adult or professional help immediately.

Scoresheet

Complete all ten activities and Talking It Over Pages. Take part in at least two learning experiences and become involved in at least two leadership/citizenship activities. Complete a project review.

Download a copy of the scoresheet to determine what is expected for project completion.

Exhibit Ideas

  • A display (poster, trifold, model, video, etc.) that shows what you did in one of the numbered activities or from one of the “More Challenges” that you completed in the book.

How Do I Sign Up?

Enroll in 4-H ZSuite

When you get to the CLUBS tab of the enrollment, you will want to ADD PROJECT.
