STEM Ambassadors

West Virginia 4-H STEM Ambassadors

The WVU Extension 4-H program is recruiting WVU students to help provide youths the opportunity to engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) projects at camp through a program called STEM Ambassadors.

WVU 4-H Stem Ambassadors act as science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) instructors and camp/cabin counselors during 4-H summer camps and events across the state of West Virginia. Given training and materials, ambassadors travel throughout the state to deliver pre-arranged STEM curriculum in a variety of settings. Events may include county 4-H day or overnight camps, summer youth program sites, state 4-H camps located at WVU Jackson’s Mill, the West Virginia State Fair and State 4-H Days.

WVU 4-H STEM Ambassadors also support WVU in sponsoring college activities throughout the summer months. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to work up to 25 days summer timeframe with additional opportunities possible based on need and availability.
