4-H Day at the State Fair

Join 4-H families from across the state to make "Mountain Memories" on the first Friday of the State Fair of West Virginia!

Acquaint yourself with all the fair has to offer by completing the State Fair scavenger hunt. Enjoy the carnival rides, fabulous food options, free grounds entertainment and attractions throughout the day.

Event Details

  • Youth are under care/custody/control of their guardian for the entire event.
  • Tickets will be available for pick up at a designated 4-H event table located outside of the Main Gate between 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday, August 9. Tickets WILL NOT be mailed.
  • All ticket payments will be collected at the time of purchase through the event registration.

Registration

Registration will open on June 14, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. and will close on July 26, 2024 at 11:55 p.m.

Registration will be handled through the 4-H ZSuite Online System. Use the buttons below to access the registration.

External Registration (Non 4-H Members)

Partial refunds will be honored if requested prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the deadline passes. Requests for refunds must be sent to nmyates@mail.wvu.edu.

Ticket Options

4-H members who entered a presentation or public speech for the 2024 Virtual State 4-H Presentation Contest will receive a discount code for Option 1 to participate in this event for FREE!

Option 1: Gate & Ride Ticket ($30)

  • Gate Admission
  • 12 Hour Mega Pass (Unlimited Rides: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.)
  • 4-H Concession Stand Bagged Meal:
    • Chico Bakery Pepperoni Roll
    • Bag of Chips
    • Bottled Soda/Water

Option 2: Gate Only Ticket ($15)

For attendees 11 and older who do not plan to ride any amusement rides. Youth 10 and under can enter the fairgrounds for free.
