The Wayne County CEOS Garden Club had their meeting on Tuesday October 9. Club members learned about succulents as part their meeting. The CEOS Garden Club always welcomes new members. To learn more, call the WVU Wayne County Extension Office at 304-272-6839.

The Wayne County Extension Office hosts a Blood Pressure Station at its office. An official Open House was held on October 9 for the public to learn about the program and to each take their blood pressure. CEOS members Donna Ferrell (left) and Trish Harris, both participated in the event. Members of the public can come in anytime Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to avail of this service.

The West Virginia University Extension Service has made it easier to check your blood pressure with self-monitoring station in Wayne County.

The Buffalo Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS) Club held their annual breast cancer awareness event at the Kenova Gazebo on Tuesday October 2, 2018. CEOS members as well as members of the public came out to mark the occasion and help increase awareness of the importance of early detection when it comes to breast and other forms of cancer. Members of the public, including women from Marie's House in Wayne, came out to support the Wayne County CEOS Breast Cancer Awareness event held Monday October 1, 2018. Many thanks to David Pennington, Wayne County Commissioner who declared it Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Wayne County.

Members of the Buffalo CEOS Club (l-r: Eddie Lee Young, Mary Sue Hamilton, Ruth Reger, and Dot Cullars) recently made several beautiful adult clothing protectors as part of an ongoing community service project. These clothing protectors were given to residents at the Grayson Assisted Living near Lavalette. The CEOS Quilt & Fiber Club did some knitting, crocheting and embroidery as part of their meeting on September 11, 2018. New members are always welcome - if interested call the Wayne County office at 304-272-6839.

Our CEOS Garden Club members (l-r): Nancy Crockett, Sarah Marcum, Ruth Thayer, Donna Ferrell, and Trish Harrise, donated these lovely mums to adorn the outside of the Wayne County Extension office this fall. Our CEOS program had the pleasure of hosting Line-Audrey from Cameron from May 29-31. Donna and Brent Ferrell of Genoa hosted her. Line-Audrey is the CEOS International Student scholarship recipient and during the summer, she travels the state to speak about her country and culture.
