Garlic Tomato Bruschetta

Garlic tomato bruschetta is the perfect appetizer for your next dinner or party. This dish is great for getting kids involved in the kitchen. 

Before You Cook
  • Take a minute to read through the recipe before you start.
  • Wash all fresh produce and work surfaces.
  • Wash your hands at the beginning and throughout the cooking process.
  • Children should ask for permission before using appliances and sharp knives.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced French bread
  1. In a large bowl, combine oil, basil, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Add tomatoes and toss gently.Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Bring to room temperature before serving
  4. Cut bread into 24 slices; toast under broiler until lightly browned.
  5. Top with tomato mixture.Serve immediately.
