Lauren Weatherford
Extension Agent – Family & Community Development
Lauren Weatherford is an associate professor and the Family and Community Development agent for Fayette and Nicholas counties. She holds a bachelor's degree in social and decision sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree in public administration from West Virginia University. Her work experience includes a focus on international and local community development, curriculum development, and more than 20 years of teaching experience.
In 2003 Lauren joined the WVU Extension's Family Nutrition Program, and in 2009 she became the Fayette and Nicholas County Families & Community Development Agent. Lauren has a passion to help people to lead healthier and happier lives through wellness and life skills education, and helping communities grow and succeed.
