OSHA Course Registration

Important Message Regarding OSHA Training

NRC OSHA OTIEC (National Resource Center WVU OSHA Training Institute Education Center) encourages all students to continue to register for upcoming courses.  In the event the course is cancelled, WVU Safety and Health will notify students of course cancellation two weeks prior to course starting date. 

Course registration information will be used to communicate to students about upcoming courses in the event of cancellations. 

Videoconferencing Requirements

OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) and non-OTIEC* courses are now available via videoconferencing!

The health, safety and well-being of our students, instructors, and staff is of utmost importance to the National Resource Center OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) at West Virginia University (NRC-WVU OTIEC).  Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the NRC-WVU OTIEC will be conducting OTIEC courses via videoconferencing utilizing Zoom.  OTIEC Courses will be conducted at the day/time. Attendance at all class sessions is required.

Non-OTIEC courses are also offered via the videoconferencing method.

To be able to attend videoconference courses using Zoom, you will need the following:

  • A laptop or desktop computer (preferred) that has keyboard, video camera and microphone capabilities. (a tablet may be used but not recommended)
  • Internet connection - broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE not recommended)

  • 2-way audio: speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless (note: students can use the microphone and speakers built into a laptop or desktop computer. Headphones and, or earphones with a microphone are recommended)

  • 2-way video – built in or USB plug-in video web camera (note: students can use the video camera internal to their device or use external device).

  •  PDF viewer on their device

  • An additional device with video capabilities is required for courses with test requirements (OSHA 510, OSHA 511, OSHA 5410, OSHA 500, OSHA 501, OSHA 5400)

Enrollment for NRC OTIEC Videoconference is limited* to individuals in OSHA Region III - Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
