OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) and non-OTIEC* courses are now available via videoconferencing!
The health, safety and well-being of our students, instructors, and staff is of utmost importance to the National Resource Center OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) at West Virginia University (NRC-WVU OTIEC). Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the NRC-WVU OTIEC will be conducting OTIEC courses via videoconferencing utilizing Zoom. OTIEC Courses will be conducted at the day/time. Attendance at all class sessions is required.
*Non-OTIEC courses are also offered via the videoconferencing method.
To be able to attend videoconference courses using Zoom, you will need the following:
- A tablet, laptop or desktop computer that has keyboard, video camera and microphone
- Internet connection - broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
- 2-way audio: speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless (note: students can use the microphone and speakers built into a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. Headphones and, or earphones with a microphone are recommended)
2-way video – built in or USB plug-in video web camera (note: students can use the video camera internal to their device or use external device).

Smartphones will not be permitted as a device to attend a videoconferencing course.
