CAMP III Grant Scholarship

Youth from across West Virginia head to WVU Jackson's Mill each summer to participate in summer camps.

There are countless opportunities for youths throughout the state to attend summer camp, from statewide to specialty county camps, everyone is welcome. 4-H membership is not required to attend camp.

This year, thanks to the CAMP III grant, we are offering a full scholarship for up to two eligible teens from your county to attend Older Member's Conference (OMC) with a limit on the first 70 registrants!

Scholarship Requirements

• First time attending a week-long State 4-H Camp.
• Weekend camps like Dance Weekend or Code Camp do not count.
• Must be eligible for Free/Reduced price meals via:
• Household Income Guidelines Chart (below); OR
• Currently in Foster Care; OR
• Family receives SNAP/TANF benefits

How to Register & Apply

Registration for Older Member's Conference will be handled through the 4-H ZSuite Online System. If you are not a 4-H Member, please use the "External Registration" button below.

The deadline for OMC registration and CAMP III grant scholarship requests is Friday June 2, 2023.

Steps to Apply

1. At the bottom of the registration page, please answer "Yes" when asked "I would like to request a camp scholarship from the state 4-H Office."
2. Enter "Camp III Grant Recipient" when prompted with "Attending state 4-H camp is important to me because..."
3. Enter "$400" into "Amount Requesting." (Retainer fee does not apply to CAMP III scholarship.)
4. Submit your registration with "Submit and Pay in Person."

What Is Older Member's Conference?

Older Member's Conference is statewide 4-H camp held annually at WVU Jackson's Mill. This camp is open to any youth aged 14-21. Campers develop leadership skills through facilitating camp activities, increase civic engagement and education through discussions on current issues, participate in week-long workshops and master new skills that can be used in local 4-H programs and communities activities.
