Wood County 4-H Camp Registration 2022

Horse 4-H Camp - June 5-9 

Horse 4-H Camp is open to youth enrolled in the 4-H Horse project in Wood and surrounding counties. Youth of 4-H age are invited to register (8-21). See membership age requirements . Cost is $115. Participate in fun, hands-on activities like Shooting Sports, Cooking, Games and Puzzles, and Crafts classes. Daily horse camp lessons include Western, English, Gated, Contest, and minis. Scheduled activities include assemblies on Clydesdales, a visit with a Veterinarian, Basic Grooming and Showmanship, and a Horse Skill-a-thon. Bring your own horse to camp. Horse ownership not required. Please contact the WVU Extension office for more information.

Older 4-H Camp - June 12-16

Older 4-H Camp is open to youth ages 13-21. See membership age requirements . Campers who are 18 years of age or older must complete the vetting process (background check, Title IX and Protecting our Children Training). Please contact the office to start the process if you have not already done so. Cost is $115 with an Early Bird Discount of $10 if registered by May 20. Spend the week with friends and participate in camp classes like shooting sports, Charting, dance, crafts, cooking, games, fishing, STEM and more. We will have a campfire program every night, daily activities, and a dance on the last night of camp.

Young Adventurers' Wood County (YAWC) - June 18

YAWC is open to youth ages 5 - 10. See membership age requirements . This one-day camp serves as an introduction into 4-H Camping. Youth participate in fun, hands-on activities, learn about 4-H Camp, and spend the day with Teen Leaders. We will finish the day with a camp party. Cost is $25.

Younger 4-H Camp - June 26-30

Younger 4-H Camp is open to youth ages 8 - 12 (youth who are completing 7th grade can choose to attend Older/Younger and may be 13 and attend Younger Camp in some cases). See membership age requirements . Cost is $115 with an Early Bird Discount of $10 if registered by May 20. Spend the week with friends and participate in camp classes like shooting sports, dance, crafts, cooking, games, fishing, STEM and more. We will have a campfire program every night, daily activities, and a dance on the last night of camp.

Registration deadline is May 30, 2022.
