Let's Get Ready for a New 4-H Year!

4-h leadership.
We're gearing up for the new 4-H year! New 4-H Teen Leaders are invited and encouraged to join us in September! We will also do our 4-H Camp Reflections meeting to help us work on improving camps for 2020! You can also join our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/woodcounty4h/ for the latest 4-H information!

4-H Leaders' Meeting

The Wood County 4-H Leaders' Meetings are for volunteer leaders in Wood County to stay up-to-date on all of the current 4-H news and events, as well as learn how you can help to ensure the 4-H program is strong in Wood County! We have an exciting fund-raiser coming up to support our 4-H members and program, so come out and learn about what's happening! Our meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on September 3, 2019, 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Courthouse.

4-H Teen Leaders

The Wood County 4-H Teen Leaders is a group for any 4-H member who turns 12 by September 30, 2019. Anyone who was 12 on that date and older can join us for the upcoming 4-H year. Teen Leaders host events, help plan 4-H camps, volunteer and learn leadership skills at various 4-H camps and events. Teen Leaders is an excellent opportunity to introduce friends to 4-H who have never been in the program. Bring them to a 4-H meeting! The next Teen Leader meeting will be September 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the South Parkersburg Baptist Church Youth Building. Immediately following the meeting at 3 p.m., we will have a discussion about 2019 camps and reflect on ideas for the 2020 camping season. Snacks will be provided, so please join us! Parents must sign in 4-H members under 18. Any 4-H member driving who is under 18 should contact me to make sure we have a permission slip on file for you. Email me at jodi.smith@mail.wvu.edu or call me at 304-424-1960.
