State Fair Results 2019

WOOD COUNTY STATE FAIR WINNERS

Wood County was well represented at the State Fair of West Virginia. There were 96 total still exhibits on display from Wood County and one livestock exhibitor, Shane Galland. Each still project exhibit will receive a blue ribbon and $3.50 per exhibit premium from the State Fair at our Awards Banquet on November 3, 2019. Of those displayed - 72 were blue ribbon exhibits from the local county fair, 9 were State Photo Contest exhibits, 2 were State 4-H Day Visual Presentations, and 13 were State Poster Contest winners. Exhibits, posters, and photos are returned to the club leaders and distributed at 4-H club meetings.

LIVESTOCK SHOW 

Shane Galland placed in the top 10 in Beef Senior Showmanship. With his Replacement Heifer, he placed 2nd in his class and came back in for Grand/Reserve Champion for the Crossbreed Division. His steer also placed 2nd in his market class and came back in for Grand/Reserve Champion in the Middleweight Division.

BEST OF SHOW 

Congratulations to Noah Forshey for his Best of Show win at the State Fair of WV. His Know Your State exhibit was one of the few still exhibits receiving top honors.
