Wood County 4-H Honors Members at Awards Banquet

Wood County 4-H celebrated their 4-H members at their annual Awards Banquet on November 5, 2017 at the Butcher Bend 4-H Campground. The event was sponsored by Wesbanco.

Wood County 4-H members received several awards and recognitions for outstanding project work, community service, and leadership in 2017. Awards were given out at the club, county and state levels.

      Blake Tennant placed 2nd overall in the Senior Division Air Rifle competition at state and represented West Virginia at the National Air Rifle Competition in Nebraska in June finishing 28th nationwide.

      Mallory Marks, Saulsbury 4-H Club, won the state level Prudential Spirit of the Community Award after her 2016 nomination. She represented West Virginia at the national competition in Washington, D.C., in May. Mallory won $1,000 and a silver medallion for her community service work.
