Wood County 4-H Campgrounds
Rent the campground for your next camp, event, or family reunion!
The Wood County 4-H Camp is situated on 67 acres. It is enclosed on three sides by an 8-foot fence with gates that are closed for security. The bottom of the camp boundary is the Little Kanawha River. The front field of the camp is a very large open field the size of several football fields. This field can serve a variety of purposes including football practice, band drills, car shows, flea markets, etc. There are also several acres of woodland with a walking trail. The camp may be rented in its entirety or in part to match your needs.

Support the Wood County 4-H Camp
The Wood County 4-H Camp is a historical facility serving the community for more
than 80 years. The camp is managed by an all-volunteer board of trustees from the
4-H Leaders' Association, the Wood County Farm Bureau, the Wood County CEOS, and
the Wood County 4-H Teen Leaders. All proceeds from camp rentals and fund-raisers
go toward the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Donations can be made online
to the
Wood County 4-H Capital Improvement Project (for upgrades to buildings) or
directly to the Wood County 4-H Camp Trustees by mailing a check made payable to
them to 1 Court Square, Suite 408, Parkersburg, WV 26101. For questions, contact

Directions to the Wood County 4-H Campgrounds
From I-77 North or South, take the Mineral Wells Exit 170 and turn right on Rt. 14 South. Go 2.9 miles on Rt. 14 South and take a left of Butcher Bend Road. Go another 2.2 miles and campground will be on your left.
