Tax Workbooks
The Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation (LGUTEF) annually plans, writes, develops, and publishes the “National Income Tax Workbook,” which is used to teach Workshops, Institutes, Seminars, and Forums in more than 30 states for over 29,000 tax professionals.
This book is included in the cost of the two-day Federal Income Tax School registration. If you would like to order extra copies of the book, they can be purchased for $45.
LGUTEF also annually publishes the "Agricultural Tax Issues Workbook", which is included in the Agricultural Issues Tax Seminar registration cost. If you would like to order extra copies of the book, they can be purchased for $50.
County-based Schedule F Trainings
The Small Farm Center also presents several farm income tax (Schedule F) workshops annually. The perspective of the workshops is toward enlightening participants as to how to manage tax liability which often involves a team approach involving professionals and the tax payer. Of course, the sessions include recent changes and rulings, but the classes focus on the many advantageous options filers have. This list includes spousal employment, accurate accounting of USDA conservation payments, and sub-section 179 deductions, to name a few.
If there is a tax-related issue you would like to have discussed, please contact Lisa Jones at 304-293-2715 or email Lisa.
