Chainsaw & Tree Climbing Techniques

The chainsaw safety and felling course covers:

• Chainsaw safety and ergonomics
• Chainsaw design, feature benefits, and starting
• Limbing and bucking
• Technical cutting
• Technical felling

The tree climbing techniques class covers:

• Safety, teamwork, and communication
• Overhead belay/tie-in location selection and establishment
• Climbing gear and tools
• Lines, knots, hitches, and splicing
• Work positioning and fall protection
• Work oriented climbing

There are many other topics under each heading. The cost of each class is $450 per student with lunch provided each day. 
 
All climbing gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as saws and fuel are to be provided by the student.
