Chainsaw & Tree Climbing Techniques

The chainsaw safety and felling course covers:

• chainsaw safety and ergonomics
• chainsaw design, feature benefits, and starting
• limbing and bucking
• technical cutting
• technical felling

The tree climbing techniques class covers:

• safety, teamwork, and communication
• overhead belay/tie-in location selection and establishment
• climbing gear and tools
• lines, knots, hitches, and splicing
• work positioning and fall protection
• work oriented climbing

There are many other topics under each heading. The cost of each class is $450 per student with lunch provided each day. 
 
All climbing gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as saws and fuel are to be provided by the student.
