Hydrogen Sulfide Trainer
Course Description
The WVU SafeLandH2S Trainer course provides participants with the skills and knowledge
to educate employers and employees on the hazards associated with H
2S. The course is designed for personnel interested in conducting Hydrogen
Sulfide (H
2S) training for companies in the petroleum industry or those with H
2S present at their facilities. Special emphasis is placed on API Recommended
Practice 49, API Recommended Practice 55, ANSI Z390.1 and OSHA 1910.134, 1910.1000
and 1910.1200. The course is designed to meet Hydrogen Sulfide Train-the-Trainer
requirements of ANSI 2390.1. WVU Safety and Health Extension is a SafeLand Accrediting
Organization.
(Prerequisite: SafeLandUSA Instructor and/or OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer)
