LEGO Robotics

Boone County 4-H partners with Boone County Schools to sponsor FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robotics teams at Madison Middle School, Sherman Junior High School, Sherman Elementary School, and Whitesville Elementary School. Currently, there are 25 FLL teams across those four schools in the county with approximately 150 youth involved in the program.

We traditionally host the Boone County FLL Robotics Competition. At that competition, we typically select teams from each school that move on to the regional qualifier in Charleston. The general public is welcome to come and observe the creativity of these young people and all the hard work they have put in.
