Our Current WVSAN STEM Projects
Opportunity AI
- Opportunity AI, through STEM Next Opportunity Fund, is offering the Opportunity Artificial Intelligence (AI) Community of Practice (CoP) to promote AI literacy and Career Connected Learning in West Virginia. Opportunity AI CoP will support program providers and youth in increasing confidence and comfort with AI.
The Institute for a STEM Ready America
- STEM jobs are growing at twice the rate of non-STEM jobs. Through The Institute for a STEM Ready America WVSAN has access to curriculum and resources to help youth in afterschool to explore and prepare for the careers of tomorrow and excite 20 million more youth with STEM by 2030.
West Virginia Girls Collaborative Project
- The West Virginia Girls Collaborative Project (WVGCP) is a statewide network of support for girl-serving STEM organizations, working to strengthen capacity and increase continuation of girl-serving STEM programs. As part of the National Girls Collaborative, we have access to thousands of programs and resources that are focused on providing high quality STEM experiences for girls.
Seeing Yourself In the Future with a STEM Lens
- In partnership with West Virginia University Extension 4-H to integrate a locally relevant STEM focus into the existing Seeing Yourself in the Future career readiness curriculum. The initiative aims to spark interest in STEM careers, build practical skills, and connect youth to authentic opportunities in their own communities.
