About Us

Everyday 10+ million children and youth participate in afterschool and summer learning programs and as part of the 50 State Afterschool Network, The West Virginia Statewide Afterschool Network (WVSAN) works to inform policy, develop partnerships and shape practices to improve access to and strengthen out-of-school time programs. WVSAN knows that with collaboration among afterschool and summer programs, schools, and community partners, we can meet the needs of our youth and the network works to make those connections.

It also provides affordable and accessible resources and professional development to enhance the skills and knowledge of the afterschool workforce and offers program support that can be beneficial to a program whether it is in its first year or well-established.
