Wood County 4-H & FFA Summer Showcase Results 2022

The Wood County 4-H & FFA Summer Showcase wrapped up with a very successful livestock sale. Thanks to a dedicated, hard-working group of volunteers, livestock buyers, and donors to our livestock program, more than 150 youth showcased their 4-H and FFA exhibits. There were 159 livestock projects exhibited, and 90 still projects. CEOS (Community Educational Outreach Service) members exhibited more than 100 items.

Colton Parsons, 19-year-old member of the Saulsbury 4-H Club was awarded the honor of Austin Shawver Master Showman of 2022 for the second straight year. The contest provides participants who win grand champion senior showman in each livestock species division an opportunity to compete for the title, and the winner receives a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Kent Welding and Wards Farm Supply and a Belt Buckle sponsored by Shawver Show Pigs.
