Still Project Exhibit Registration Information

Still Exhibit Project Registration Details

  1. Still Project exhibit registration will be on Sunday, July 14,  from 2 – 6 p.m. only. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  2. Still Project participants need to go directly to the OPEN SHELTER beside the 4-H building to get their entry number and fair pass, then proceed to the 4-H building to register exhibits.
  3. Project books and activity records received after June 4 will have points deducted. However, they will still count as completed projects if turned in at fair registration on Sunday.

4-H Member Fair Passes

All 4-H’ers who exhibit a project will receive a 4-H Exhibitor’s Pass to the fair. This will allow entry into the gate each day, but members will need to pay an additional fee to ride the carnival rides. 4-H members who do not exhibit a project are not eligible for a fair pass. Passes are available during project registration. Fair passes can be picked up at the Open Shelter from 2 – 6 p.m. beside the 4-H building. Livestock members also need to pick up fair passes at the Open Shelter from 2 – 6 p.m. If passes are not picked up by 6 p.m., they will not be available for pick up until Monday after 7 p.m. at the fair office.

Community Service Records

Community Service Records are due at the Fair. Please turn them in to Jodi Smith or Lindsey Boso. Community Service logs are included in the Clover Guide. We will have extra copies in the Still Project Building.

Project Removal

DO NOT PICK UP YOUR FAIR EXHIBIT! All Still Project Exhibits will be taken to the WVU Extension Office after fair and split up by 4-H Club for distribution. Blue ribbon projects will be taken to the State Fair of West Virginia, and all others will be returned to the 4-H Club Leaders.

Club and Cloverbud Displays

The theme for club display is “Discover the Treasure of 4-H” and clubs will be judged on originality, creativity, and design. Remember, this is a club display that the 4-H club members should have a large part in putting together.

Cloverbud exhibits should be put together by club if possible. Put some of your Cloverbud activities or projects on a tri-fold display to showcase at the fair. It’s best to put them all together instead of displaying several different posters from the kids. Cloverbuds will receive a fair pass for their club or individual exhibit.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers and Teen Leaders are needed to help on Sunday at the 4-H building. Hours we need help are Sunday from 12 p.m. through 6 p.m. Once judging begins, access to the building will be limited to judges, staff, and a few key volunteers. We also need 4-H volunteer leaders and Teen Leaders to watch the building from 7 - 10 p.m. each night. Please call the office or Vickie Taylor to sign up. IF YOU SIGN UP, BE COURTEOUS TO OTHER VOLUNTEERS, AND PLEASE SHOW UP ON TIME.
