YAWC - Young Adventurers' Wood County
Join us for this special daylong camp.
We are excited to offer registration for Young Adventurers Wood County Camp (YAWC) online this year! Registration link can be found at the end of the camp information.
Purpose: Young Adventurers Wood County—Y.A.W.C. is designed to offer Cloverbuds and first-year 4-H'ers the chance to experience the excitement of camping in one day. Through songs, games, special programs, classes, and campfire experiences offered, young 4-H'ers and Cloverbuds can learn how to work with others, make decisions, master skills, and most importantly, they can make new friends and have fun!
Who: Youth ages 5 – 8 years who are completing Kindergarten – 2nd grades. Youth ages 9 – 10 who are completing 3rd and 4th grades.
When: Saturday, June 1, 2019
Where: Wood County 4-H Campgrounds, 2203 Butcher Bend Rd., Mineral Wells, WV
Registration: Online registration is due Friday, May 24, 2019.
Registration is received on a first come-first served process. You will receive information
regarding what to bring to camp and registration times one week prior to camp.
Payment for camp is received during registration at the campground.

Wood County Older & Younger 4-H Camps
Younger 4-H Camp
Date: June 9 - 13, 2019
Location: Wood County 4-H Campgrounds in Mineral Wells
Cost: Younger 4-H Camp – $105 ($10 early bird discount if paid before
deadline - $95)
Age Requirement: Youth who turn 9 by September 30 of the current year
and who are currently enrolled in 3rd grade through 6th grade (2018-2019 school
year).
Older 4-H Camp
Date: June 23 - 28, 2019Location: Wood County 4-H Campgrounds in Mineral Wells
Cost: $110 ($10 early bird discount if paid before deadline - $100)
Age Requirement: Youth must be 13 years old by the start of camp on June 17 (7th grade and older). Upper age limit is 21 years. (Please note: Current 7th graders choose to attend either Older or Younger 4-H camp).
Campers who register by May 24 get a discount.
You will receive a $10 discount if you register by the deadline of May 24, 2019. Registrations received after May 25 will not qualify for the discount and will pay full price for camps. No exceptions!
Camp Details & Online Registration
This is the online 4-H camp registration for Wood County Older and Younger 4-H Camps 2019. The camps will be held at the dates listed above at the Wood County 4-H Campgrounds in Mineral Wells. The camps will have the theme this year: "Back to the 80s." We will be celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Campgrounds! All campers will receive a t-shirt with their registration at no additional charge.
Registration is completely online this year and is received on a first-come, first-served
process. Classes fill-up quickly, so please keep that in mind. Additionally, you
will receive information regarding what to bring to camp and registration times
one week prior to camp.
DO NOT send money
for county camps. Camp fees are collected on the first day of camp during registration.
