WVU Extension has teamed up with University of Maryland and Penn State Extension to provide a webinar on the production of hemp for fiber and seed production.
The webinar presentation will be available on three different dates to allow participants with ample opportunity to join: March 15 at 10 a.m., March 22 at 1 p.m. and March 29 at 7 p.m.
The one-hour webinar presentations will cover all the basics of hemp production, from seeding to harvesting.
Experts from the partnering universities created this educational
webinar to share with farmers the resources needed and potential returns on the
production of hemp for fiber and grain. At the end of this program, participants
will be asked to take a short survey to help the project understand the willingness
of farmers to consider growing fiber and grain hemp if a processing facility were
located in our region.
