Note about 4-H Project Books—Start Early!

Do not wait until the last minute to complete books, especially animal books. Try completing one activity a month to avoid last minute stress. Many of the multiple year projects are designed to be family projects. Younger 4-H members will need assistance from project helpers to complete these books.

Cloverbud Curriculum

Cloverbuds is a pre-4-H program for  K, 1st and 2nd grade youth.  All Cloverbud projects will be awarded a ribbon and displayed at the Fair.  State policy restricts this age group from competitive events.  Therefore, books will not be scored or rated against each other. Please note that Cloverbud members may not enroll in regular 4-H projects.  Cloverbuds can  choose from the following project topics:  foods, pets, birds, dogs, cats, horse, bugs, energy, This is 4-H, and bicycle, camping.

The West Virginia University Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program adopted the Pennsylvania State Cooperative Extension Cloverbud curriculum. The curriculum can be downloaded from the Web at  http://pa4h.cas.psu.edu/90.htm

The Mineral County Extension Office distribute our county’s Cloverbud project books.
