With the ever-changing technology available to producers, the necessity to adapt the agriculture practices with the adoption of precision agriculture tools will be vital for the sustainability of farms throughout West Virginia and beyond. WVU Extension Mason County along with some other county offices now have Trimble GFX-35 display with NAV500 Guidance Controller. This system will allow producers to more efficient in their practices by seeing on the display areas that have been covered and areas that have been missed.
This system can be adapted to fit most tractors or machinery for the spreading
of fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and more. This system is available for producers on a trial basis. For more information
