Wirt County seeks Master Gardener Applicants
The West Virginia University Extension Service Master Gardener program in Wirt County is looking for people who are passionate about gardening and want their horticultural skills to be as sharp as their pruning shears.
2018 Wirt County 4-H and FFA Livestock Show and Sale
Eighty-eight 4-H and FFA members showed off their hard work during the 2018 Wirt County Fair Livestock Show and Sale. 136 animals were exhibited and sold during the fair including 4 market steers, 12 feeder steers, 17 replacement heifers, 4 feeder heifers, 17 lambs, 70 hogs, and 12 pens of market rabbits. The exhibitors have prepared months for the show and sale and their determination was rewarded with achievements in showmanship, market classes, and during the sale.
