Energy Express Success in Wirt County

During the six-week session, forty (40) students in 1st through 6th grade participated in Energy Express at Wirt County High School. The program allowed participants to participate in reading, writing, art, drama, and recreation while receiving two nutritious family style meals each day.

2018 Wirt County Fair Information

All 4-H and FFA members in Wirt County are encouraged to exhibit at the annual Wirt County Fair. In addition to livestock classes, and 4-H exhibits in the dining hall, there is a junior homemaking division dedicated to showcasing home made and home grown goods produced by our county's elementary, middle, and high school students. Here's information about the upcoming fair on August 1-4, 2018, at Camp Barbe.

All livestock exhibitors are required to attend barn cleanup day on July 28, 2018, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Beginning at 8 a.m., exhibitors may get an official pen tag from Callie Daugherty or John Workman to mark their stalls. Any pen tags in place prior to 8 a.m. on Saturday will be removed.
