Due to continued health and safety protocols, we will not be holding overnight camp at Camp Towles this summer. However, we will be offering some exciting Day Camp options to help keep the 4-H Spirit alive. Each will be based around a different theme for a full day of fun at the low cost of $5 per day.
Members will be able to register for their top choice on Zsuite through Friday, June 4, 2021, to ensure that everyone get the opportunity to attend at least one day Camp. Registration for additional days will open on June 5, and close on Friday, June 11, 2021. Enrollment on Zsuite is required to register.
Day Campers will be asked to bring a packed lunch, but an afternoon snack and bottled
water will be provided. If you cannot afford to provide a lunch for your child,
please contact the office and we will work it out. Likewise, if you cannot afford
the $5 fee, let us know. We can cover some scholarships.
Currently, masks are still required at all WVU Extension events. We will update you if this policy changes.
Basic Day Camp Schedule
7:30 - 8 a.m. – Drop Off
8 - 10 a.m.– Class 1
10 - 10:15 a.m. – Break
10:15 - 11:15 a.m. – Group Session
11:15 a.m. - Noon – Lunch
Noon - 2 p.m. – Class 2
2 - 2:15 p.m. – Break
2:15 - 3:15 p.m. – Group Session
3:15 - 5:15 p.m. – Class 3
5:15 - 5:30 p.m. – Wrap Up
5:30 - 6 p.m. – Pick Up
Day Camp Options
STEM Day
A day of science fun with our Summer VISTAs. Specific activities are still to be determined but will focus on trees, the outdoors, and water.
Outdoor Recreation Day
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in classes in Air Rifle, Trapping, and Fishing/Bugs along with other fun activities. Classes will be done on a rotating basis so everyone will have a chance to take each class.
Art & Theater Day
Participants will rotate through their choice of three of the following classes: Pottery, Guitar, Theater, Tie Dye/Cross Stitch Name tags. Classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
