Older Members Conference

To develop leadership among older 4 H members through opportunities to discuss timely issues and problems. To teach new skills that can be used in local clubs and communities.

West Virginia 4 H members ages 14 or above by the first day of camp. Campers who are ages 18-21 must read and complete the requirements for adult participants.

$400. To assist in covering the cost for families, we are offering some discounts to early registrants.

Campers that qualify for free or reduced lunch will receive an additional $50 scholarship. A free/reduced form must accompany the OMC application to qualify.

Pre registration postmark deadline is Friday, June 2, 2017.

Camp registration is 12:30-2:30 PM, Sunday, June 18.
Camp closes at 11:30 AM, Saturday, June 24.

Each morning campers will be involved in presentations and discussion of topics current to today’s youths. Campers should select workshops before coming to camp. Encourage members from your county to enroll in different workshops so you can have a wider range of experiences coming back to the county.

Pre-camp – Twenty-five 4-H members who participated in OMC last year will be invited to serve as discussion leaders. The training will include small group skills and understanding and dealing with various small group behaviors. The camp director and coordinator will contact counties with selected members by May 19, 2017.

NO WALK-INS: No walk in registrants will be accepted.

Cancellations must be made in writing and e-mailed/faxed/postmarked to Program Coordinator, WVUES 4-H Youth Development, PO Box 6031, Morgantown, WV 26506, by Friday, June 2, 2017. There is a $15 processing fee for all refunds. NO REFUNDS FOR NO SHOWS!!!
