AgriSTEM Camp
Students will participate in activities that introduce a wide range of STEM-focused
agricultural fields and careers. Possible activities include visits to the
WVU Animal Science and Organic Farms, Agriscience-In-Action on the WVU zip line
canopy and dendrology tour, visits to Coopers Rock State Park, as well as experiments
and activities in WVU research labs that explore plant propagation, hardware
and integrated circuitry, bugs, animal science, GPS and biotechnology.
AgriSTEM Camp is a science immersive camp with hands-on experiences in the science,
technology, engineering and math of agriculture to better understand how agriculture
impacts our lives. Campers will experience Ag-STEM in action in the research
labs of WVU while working in teams to find unique and creative solutions to real
world problems. The camp allows youths to see what it's like to attend college
as they work on campus with real scientists and live and eat in an actual
WVU residence hall.
