Youth Join 4-H Ambassadors Team

The Wayne County 4-H Ambassadors held their March meeting with several new teens in attendance. New members are featured on the bottom row (l-r): Kelton Creed, Audrey Spry, Brenna Barnett, Cameron Cade with returning members on the back row (l-r): Zara Harold, Sarah Ferry, Brettina Jeffers, Zane Smith, Ethan Cade and Erin Ferry. The 4-H Ambassadors meet monthly and conduct community service projects in the county.

Wayne County 4-H'ers Participate in Dance Weekend

Several Wayne County 4-H members participated the State 4-H Dance Weekend held March 9 - 11 at WVU Jackson's Mill. These members include front row, l-r: Hunter Donahoe, Ethan Cade, Zara Harold, Zoe Harold, Erin Ferry and in the back row, l-r: Sarah Ferry and Chase Smith. Three Wayne County 4-H members served as Legislative Pages on Wednesday March 7, 2018. Jessica Mitchell of Prichard, Zane Smith of Wayne, and Conner Hall of Genoa stand with House Delegates Robert Thompson (far left) and Ken Hicks (far right) and Speaker of the House Tim Armstead (center). Through the Legislative Page Program, 4-H members and other youth receive a firsthand learning experience regarding the role of the legislators and state government.

Save the Date for Wayne County Fair Open Horse Show

Wayne County Open Horse Show

Wayne County 4-H members and horse enthusiasts are encouraged to "Save the Date" for the 2018 Open Horse Show. It will be held Saturday July 28, 2018 at the Shirley Burgess Park/ Route 152. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m., show will start at 10:00 a.m. Negative Coggins is required for all horses. Non 4-H members are encouraged to participate in this show. The Wayne County Fair Open Horse Show  has 24 classes for gaited and non-gaited horses. All are welcome to participate. For more information, please call 304-272-6839.
