Volunteer Program Manager
Evy Wright is WVU Extension's new Volunteer Program Manager. Evy comes to us from WVU Medicine where she worked first in activities at Children’s and then in Volunteer Services where she coordinated activities for adult inpatients and managed the hospital’s mascot program.
Prior to moving to West Virginia, Evy lived in Georgia and ran a successful touring puppet company for nearly 20 years. Additionally, she worked as a professional healthcare clown with The Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit for 12 years at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Evy has extensive experience presenting youth literacy programs, working in film and television (both behind the scenes and in front of the camera), and in creating community enrichment projects. She also volunteered as a CASA in Georgia.
Evy holds a B.S. in mass communication from Emerson College in Boston and an M.A. in educational psychology from WVU. She lives in Morgantown with her husband, son, and big, lazy cat.
